Day 1
Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Transfer to your lodge in Arusha, nestled beneath Mount Meru. Welcome dinner with a safari briefing under the African sky.
Day 2
Arusha to Serengeti National Park
Drive through the scenic highlands to the Serengeti, arguably the most famous wildlife sanctuary on Earth. Arrive at your safari lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive across the endless plains in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, and the great herds.
Day 3
Serengeti — Full Day Safari
Full day of game drives in the Serengeti. Search for the Big Five — lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos. Witness the incredible diversity of wildlife on the savanna. Picnic lunch overlooking the plains.
Day 4
Serengeti — Mara River & Great Migration
Morning game drive focusing on the Mara River, known for dramatic wildebeest river crossings during the Great Migration (July-October). Watch for crocodiles and hippos. Afternoon game drive to spot cheetahs and predators.
Day 5
Maasai Village Cultural Experience
Visit a traditional Maasai manyatta (village). Learn about Maasai culture, traditions, and daily life. Participate in a traditional dance, learn about beadwork, and hear stories from Maasai elders.
Day 6
Ngorongoro Crater — The Eighth Wonder
Descend 2,000 feet into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater floor is home to 25,000 animals including lions, elephants, rhinos, and flamingos. Picnic lunch by a hippo pool.
Day 7
Fly to Zanzibar — Stone Town
Morning flight from the Serengeti to Zanzibar. Arrive in Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the narrow alleys, carved doors, and historic architecture. Visit the Old Fort, House of Wonders, and the former slave market.
Day 8
Stone Town & Spice Farm Tour
Morning walking tour of Stone Town — visit the Anglican Cathedral, the Central Market, and the House of Wonders. Afternoon spice farm tour where you will see, smell, and taste the spices that made Zanzibar famous. Learn about cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla.
Day 9
Zanzibar Beaches — Nungwi
Travel north to Nungwi, home to some of Zanzibar's most stunning beaches. Relax on powder-white sand, swim in turquoise waters, and watch a spectacular sunset. Optional snorkeling or dhow sailing.
Day 10
Zanzibar — Snorkeling & Kendwa
Boat trip to a nearby reef for snorkeling among tropical fish and coral gardens. Visit Kendwa Beach, known for its pristine sand and clear shallow waters. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy your beach resort.
Day 11
Zanzibar Leisure Day & Farewell
A full day at leisure on Zanzibar. Optional activities: scuba diving, kite surfing, visit to the Jozani Forest to see red colobus monkeys, or simply relax on the beach. Farewell dinner with Swahili cuisine and Taarab music.
Day 12
Departure
Final morning swim and breakfast. Transfer to Zanzibar Airport for departure, carrying the spirit of Tanzania with you.
